Kandil is seeking truth, justice, and Gaballand to help his country when he returns home. So, he starts traveling through different countries, political systems, lifestyles, and beliefs. He has to face hard times on this journey.
The story of Ibn Fatum is a story of a seeker and Naguib Mahfouz gives as an insight of his journey. But Mahfouz is also putting something essential into our focus without naming it. He is genius in describing a political system without naming it.
“Ibn Fatouma” is adapted by Mohamed Mamdouh in cooperation with the Speech, Poetry, and Acting Department of the Core Program.
